Track by Track: 1974
1974, began life at 25
And it was written on the anniversary
The 25th anniversary of my brother and sister-in-law's wedding
And they had a repeated line at the end
Because it was for that anniversary
Which I altered slightly for this release
Just to take it away from that kind of emphasis and give it more of a character
I mean, song in its own right
It's kind of similar to Where We Didn't Light the Fire
Things like that were always be gettin' mentioned but I-
I enjoyed it in the research and looking at all the things that happened in '74
And puttin' them into rhyme and puttin' them into song
And I always wanted to do a full length version
Where in, like the first five minutes, where it's just precaution and instrumental
Wizardry or whatever on the guitar, erm
Before getting into the actual song itself
It was meant to sound like erm, I'm a Man From Chicago
But it never get quite there but erm, I still like it anyway
And it was written on the anniversary
The 25th anniversary of my brother and sister-in-law's wedding
And they had a repeated line at the end
Because it was for that anniversary
Which I altered slightly for this release
Just to take it away from that kind of emphasis and give it more of a character
