Back to the Living

When running fast was the name of the game,
When flying high put a smile on your face, you were crying all night,
Your heart was breaking, you know you'd go back and do it all again.
Remember before you started taking it slow,
You were never afraid of letting go, now you hold on tight,
You stay by the shore,
Protecting your life and everything that you know.
They told you it's no good to be so intense,
You'll hurt yourself if you jump over the fence,
The key to happiness is wanting things less,
What a bunch of BS, it don't make no sense.
I'd rather live with the ups and downs,
The highs and lows are feeling just fine.
Take a circle of fire,
And a wheel of desire a million times over a straight line.
Did you loose your way,
Did you get caught up in all the loss and the grieving?
It's not too late to come back to your
Heart, come back, come back to the living.
When taking a chance was a natural thing,
You believed in yourself and your instinct.
Remember before,
You were knocking on doors and the road was wide open.
Before there were potions to numb the extremes,
When you used to sleep deep and you used to dream,
When you felt beauty and you felt pain,
Now it's steady but it's all the same.
And I'd rather live with the night and the
Day, the sun and the rain and all the changes.
Trade a seat a seat on a throne for a
Journey unknown, a better story for my pages.
Did you loose your way,
Did you drink up all the lies they were serving?
It's not too late to come back to your
Heart, come back, come back to the living.
Did you loose your way,
Did your intellect win out on your life decisions?
It's not too late to come back to your
Heart, come back, come back to the living.
Come back come back, come back.
Come back, come back, come back.
