Breakthrough

Sitting in analysis,
trying to be something better than this,
digging deep to find that man I always wanted to be
But I get stuck on this bed of stones
and it's as far as I can go
and it stands there between my bones and my soul

Sitting in a yoga pose,
trying hard not to scratch my nose,
Breathing deep to find that stillness that I know is inside of me.
But I get distracted by my thoughts,
they're like flies when they attack.
And I do my best to focus and bring it all back.

And I watch my ego shrink,
and then maybe everything will be ok.

and he's always wearing a peaceful smile
And he says 'be careful on your quest to higher ground, don't forget
the reason you were sent here was to have a good time.
So don't wait
for that breakthrough,
