Gracious Orient

O gracious Orient, strengthen my understanding in this work
By the dominion of your kingdom which is never lost
Guide and fear me in this my supplication

I pray by your kings that on the following night Beleth may come
To me in my sleep and enkindle my heart and my mind
So that I may know how to find pleasure

Behold, I was shapen in wickedness: and in sin hath my mother conceived me
For I acknowledge my faults: and my sin is ever before me

O gracious Orient, if a paramour is in these parts or elsewhere
May him lead me there and make a sign of love itself
So that I know how to find pleasure

Behold, I was shapen in wickedness: and in sin hath my mother conceived me
For I acknowledge my faults: and my sin is ever before me

Orient, Orient, Orient. I pray, beg and ask
Most benign Orient to fulfill my petition
Orient, Orient, Orient. I pray, beg and ask
Most benign Orient to fulfill my petition

Cause, I was shapen in wickedness: and in sin hath my mother conceived me
For I acknowledge my faults: and my sin is ever before me
I was shapen in wickedness: and in sin hath my mother conceived me
For I acknowledge my faults: and my sin is ever before me
