Poetry for the Army

Even in solitude there's nothing in your head
The air murmurs of frosty silence
And only a fool will be gliding down a canal in the winter
A proper fool lost his sense in the river

Poetry for the Army

Broken images only in my memory
And they're dead and I knew all along
Dead trees all around me
They said living makes no sense at all

Poetry for the Army

Synthetic sounds become so real

When you're living in distress

Concrete walls towering over your head

A blank space in your mind

Poetry for the Army
