(Dark Eyed GIrl)

Our hero sticks to the shadows through the day
And as night follows the sky's nothing more than an empty void
The stars of the heavens seem to have vanished
So he wanders aimlessly through his purgatory
Until his guardian appears before him, in the form of steel rails
Following those tracks through the muted night air our hero
Searches deep inside his unconscious mind
Hoping to define morality
Praying an answer from some higher power will suddenly reveal itself

Well instead of the intended epiphany a bright light fills the darkness surrounding our hero
The grinding of metal wheels eradicates that unnerving silence darkness often brings
The train slows to switch tracks so our Hero capitalizes on the opportunity and hops aboard
Walking down the aisles of the passenger car he notices an empty seat
Next to one of the most beautiful girls he's ever seen
Her face was that of an angel
Her deep mahogany brown hair fell just below her waist
And her eyes...

Well she had sad, lonely eyes in which no light reflected at all
Now our hero has long since forgotten what love is
All the same he can feel his heart racing at the very sight of her
Our hero's got a million questions running through his mind
And the only fact he knows is that when love searches for answers the truth is bound to come out
So he decides to take a seat next to that dark eyed girl
