I Am An Orangutan

I'm not a gorilla or a chimpanzee
Nor a baboon that's simply underdressed
What I am is an orangutan
In Malaysia, that means 'person of the forest'

The continent of Asia at the southern tip
Sumatra and Borneo's my home
I can't deny that I'm bashfully shy
I'd really rather travel all alone

'Cause, I am an orangutan
A one of a kind with an upright spine, oh
I am an orangutan
Quite like man, an orangutan

I eat hard nuts and fruit and woody bark
So, my jaws are very, very strong
I swing with ease from the limbs of trees
My arms are seriously long

A pouch of skin underneath my chin
I can inflate into a bubble
It makes my long call heard by all
And warns, Beware! there could be trouble

'Cause, I am an orangutan
A one of a kind with an upright spine, oh
I am an orangutan
Quite like man, an orangutan

I am an orangutan
A one of a kind with an upright spine, oh
I am an orangutan
Quite like man, an orangutan

Oh, I am an orangutan
A one of a kind with an upright spine, oh
I am an orangutan
Quite like man, an orangutan
