One evening I found myself wondering
What time you would end up back home
It was getting dark and you got off at seven
I started to leave voicemails on your phone

I joked that you ran off with somebody else
But my heart was beating like a metronome
Around midnight I called on a search party
A couple days gone by and well they don't know

I was begging and pleading for answers
Wondering where the hell did you go
That's when I looked onto the water by the housе
Saw the tracks in the dirt all mixed with snow

The truck was submerged underneath
I fell to my knees and I quivered
I couldn't find enough air to breathe
They pulled the truck on out with a chain
You apparently caught ice
