When I first met you I was nearly five
How did I know that Id meet my brother for life
We did stupid things that stupid kids would do
I spent most of my life looking up at you
Hackey sack beer bottle hockey
And all things nerdy you instilled in me
And now it seems like I'm going out of my mind
I want to know when this pain I feel subsides

I know I've made mistakes all throughout our lives
It seems like I failed tests from time to time
I let the distance grow like waves at low tide
I take responsibility for the darker times
In my heart part of my soul
You know things about me no one could ever know
Our Dads taken from us, now families of our own
Were staring down the barrel of what the future holds

And it might seem like its all ending
There's no way that that could ever be
