XVY

A decade, more or less, I've been a plan: to crumble, being sweet, like marzipan
But currently there is no plan than to be more than the bits of glossy cake left for the floor
These weights on strings, they are beaconed from the ground whilst the lighter sides ascend to hear the sound
And noticing the want negates the speed
And forgetting makes it easier to bleed

There's a gathering along a new stage and I want to see you move like it's your best age
Where those bystanders around, they'll never be

As for me, as for me I'll stay a mutt and move for the attention
As for me, as for me I'll speak softly to avoid misdirection
This want is quite the force; it makes some blend and some divorce
And the struggle's moving for a pair of hands, a sweet amour
And this dance may take the lot, so try and move or it may be for naught

And if the kids can walk then the kids will walk away; they can love, but they'll never learn to stay
And this tin machine can't move without its spark, but when it moves so nicely it moves through the dark

Sweet Clementine's may burn to tease me (or please me), but you know that it is hard if it's not easy
Knowing is the kind of words we'll never find

What are we? What are we?
We're cosmic colors sitting in the star line
What does that mean? What does that mean?
We're Borealis babes, the enduring kind
We dream of atom bonds while they scream atomic bombs
Give up, let off, get on
And this dance may take the lot, so try and move or it may be for naught

Dominos aligned beg for a touch
I'm sorry if I use you as a crutch
Skip the calibration, ditch your faults, then you may be sure enough to waltz

There's a simple answer now with any fear to disavow

It's you: you and me
It's you and me: We're creatures caught in blur, bodies ignited
You and me
It's you and me
We're phrases without words, we're too excited
Now I can place the square, you play the proxy debonair, and we waste and explode along accosted á la mode
And this dance may take the lot, so try and move or it may be for naught
