Rising Down

I pray to God does he hear me, Cause it don't help
Looking around and I'm trying to find my old self
Unsolved mystery searching for that missing peace
Wholeness in soul just a wanderer in disbelief
Reminiscing will I ever get back to those days
Was all good, saw life with a passionate gaze
A mad world will it ever find some sanity
Will black lives matter or do we grind in vanity

How did I end up picking back the pen up
In a day and age where too many have agendas
Ain't no compromising, they wanna share their two cents
Gotta choose a side cause nuance is a nuisance
Say no to neutrality we need a new reality
Going back to normal is a dream and a fallacy
Feeling uneasy don't wanna be uncomfortable
We want routine even if it's dysfunctional
Ironic thoughts on this world, while I'm chasing ghost
Don't need the old me but a greater hope
Lost in this world, trying to find some meaning
Wanna change the world but got my own demons

Striving for change am I down to fight the power
Wrestling with doubts, am I a king or a coward
Word to Chris and Alex, refuse to live callous
Stand for the people, or protect the palace
You either dissolve or you gotta evolve
Be the solution or another problem to solve
My world's gone through changes I'm feeling uncertain
Gaining new wisdom but a lot of unlearning
Faith and action they need solidarity
Enter the unknown need a moment of clarity
Won't fear the darkness, I'll call on His grace
Things falling apart might be falling in place
