Moonlight Passage

One by one they're dragged back to the heart of the woods
Screams of panic echoing left and right
Writhing back and forth only to be bludgeoned
What are these creatures gathering around

Forced to kneel, bending the knees
Arms held out, feeling exposed
Head drawn back, mouth wide open
Swallow fire, immolation

You feel the flames slipping slowly down your throat
Feeling so surreal
Indescribable
The others watch as your body melts to the ground
Sight so vile
So impure

Cast into flame bodies burn
The forest beams to life with vigor
Essence restored as embers glow
Howls in the night echo through the hills

So cry out where no one can hear you
Reach out to the never ending void

Fingertips bent back all the way to knuckles
Arms twisted
Bones piercing through the skin
Foreheads smashed into stone till they cease to squirm
The smell of death permeates the air

Split wide open, head to toe
Disemboweled, innards pulled
Entrails dragged through the lowlands
And then you start to wonder if you'll ever survive

Bow to the moon in submission
Through the passage you'll emerge through the other side
Grant us immortality through their blood
To be forever unchanged by the hand of time

So close your eyes as you are forced into the fire
Let the flames caress your wounds as you bleed
For its not long now till you meet the face of death
Cease resistance
Return to ash

Cast into flame bodies burn
The forest beams to life with vigor
Essence restored as embers glow
Howls in the night echo through the hills

So cry out where no one can hear you
Reach out to the never ending void

Falling faster into the embers
Soul transcending to the other side
Witness to the massacre
Deaf to the screams as I lie here and die
