Isn't It?

Does anyone else find it strange
That we are so lonely that we have to use
Our insurance to buy friends
You share your deepest darkest secrets
But just like all the things you are nothing
When you can't pay them anymore
Unlike real friends
they're are no reasons for them to stay
And once they turn in their two week notice
That ends all the check-ins and care for you
And it's no fault of your own that you are now alone

Does anyone find it funny
That the people you trust the most can leave
Without no arguments or death
They could just get a promotion and never call you again
Just another name at the bottom of a contact list
Another message with delivered forever left at the bottom
Asking if you are ever gonna see clients again
And it's a panic attack from the silence they were supposed to fix
But I have my records and my 6 strings and a notes app
I'll figure it out like I always do
You could at least write me back though
