Gravedigger II
Well I've been digging these graves since the age of thirteen
You know I've seen a few things, not enough to make me ever lose sleep
'Cause mangled bodies filled with bullet holes and broken bones are nothing to fear
After all it was the living ones that put them in here
Took my lady out to get a few beers in the year of '05
It was kind of loud, but the crowd began to thin out by around about nine
I met a man named Ricky, the more he drank the more his arrogance grew
With just the three of us left, he went to smoke a cigarette around two
Well Ricky came back in to show us something that he found by his car
He never handled a gun, but it was fun to wave around in the bar
And then a flash and a crash and my baby's calling out my name
He didn't mean to pull the trigger, but I figure it was over the same
So Ricky dropped the gun and started running straight for the back door
And the bartender nodded as he swore that he ain't seen me before
So I grabbed it and went after him, the bastard burned some holes in my shoes
But when we came up to the river, there was nowhere else for him to run to
He started beggin' and a-cryin', didn't mean for anybody to die
But all his bitchin' and a-whinin' wasn't gonna bring my baby to life
So I raised the nine, and as I did my vision started to blur
And when I came back to, the only thing that I could see was her
You know I've seen a few things, not enough to make me ever lose sleep
'Cause mangled bodies filled with bullet holes and broken bones are nothing to fear
After all it was the living ones that put them in here
