Walking on Water

A dozen men went out one night
In their vessel across the sea
But a storm had risen and it fought the mission
Of the men relentlessly

In the early hours of the morning
The Lord came walking on water to them
And they thought they'd seen a ghost in the midst of the storm
And were terrified then

And as they cried out in fear
A voice replied and it said
"It's alright, It is I, Do not be afraid"
"It's alright, It is I, Do not be afraid"

And Peter said, "Oh Lord, if that is you
Call me to you right now
Tell me to come over to you
Walking on water now"

"Oh Lord, if that is you
Call me to you right now
Tell me to come over to you
Walking on water now"

"Alright", the Lord said
And commanded him to come
So Peter climbed out of the boat
And walked towards the one

But when he looked back at the storm he began to sink
When he looked back at the storm he began to sink

Yeah, when he looked back at the storm he began to sink
Yeah, when he looked back at the storm he began to sink

And he cried, "Save me Lord! Save me Lord!"
I don't want to drown!
And instantly Jesus reached out His hand and pulled him out

"Oh, you, of little faith. Why do you have to doubt?"
"Oh, you, of little faith. Why do you have to doubt?"

When they got back to the boat
He calmed the storm
And then they realised who He was
"Surely you're the Son of the living God"
"Surely you're the Son of the living God!"

Surely you're the Son of the living God
