Old Grey Nova
Well it looks bad but I'll try to explain
The old grey novae in the midnight rain
The old man is mad but mamas in tears
That nova ran for 19 years
I had a drink but I was feeling alright
I thought I'd see fine with just one light
I'm a little messed up but im feeling fine
But that nova sure has seen some better times
And now that this old car is bent Around the front yard tree
Maybe you can finally set me free
And Sunshine I know that it may Be hard to believe
But I've got a feeling
The moonlight tastes like a deep smokey whiskey
That's alright
And I may never walk the golden road
Maybe I should just go home
But I feel good enough to die
I spent way too long out on the road
I went a while for having nowhere to go
On my own I think I felt alright
But it'd been a while since I had seen the light
On my way home it began to pour
I only ever wanted just a little bit more
Then in a flash I was in the air
And that's when you found me lying there
And now that this old car is bent Around the front yard tree
Maybe you can finally set me free
And Sunshine i know that it may Be hard to believe
But I've got a feeling
The moonlight tastes like a deep smokey whiskey
That's alright
And I may never walk the golden road
Maybe I should just go home
But I feel good enough to die
The old grey novae in the midnight rain
The old man is mad but mamas in tears
