Beware the Ottine Swamp Thing

Well lately I been thinking about changing my name
I been feeling like I'm in some kinda transformational stage
I might pack my bags and move away to some wild Texas springs
Where the folks will say "beware the Ottine Swamp Thing!"

Don't call me by my old name, I'm just a swamp thing now
And the hikers all say that the sounds they heard was definitely "not just a cow"
All the snakes and toads and lizards don't mind having me around
And if you've got a problem then I swear to you I won't be found

My mother said I'd become something she didn't recognize
My father said that it might be the big glowing yellow eyes
But if my modifications have taken you by surprise
That's not my problem, that's your problem

Don't call me by my old name, I'm just a swamp thing now
And the hikers all say that the sounds they heard was definitely "not just a cow"
All the snakes and toads and lizards don't mind having me around
And if you've got a problem then I swear to you I won't be found

So next time you hear tale of some wild cryptid in the woods
Mind your own business
I'm just out here chillin'
And if you think I've become some kind of monster
(Shrugs)

Cause I'm a swamp thing
I'm creepin' through the creeks
I'm not bothered by the birds or the bees
Yeah I'm a swamp thing, I think it's alright
I like to stay up late and watch the fireflies
Yeah I'm a swamp thing
Na na na
Yeah I'm a swamp thing
Na na na
Yeah I'm a swamp thing
Na na na
Yeah I'm a swamp thing
Na na na
Yeah I'm just a swamp thing
