Christmas Eve's The Longest Night of All
Christmas is the best time of a year
The snow is fresh and the air is clear
And every street is filled with Christmas cheer
With little children grinning ear-to-ear
Cause Santa soon will be on his way
With flying reindeer and a big, red sleigh
But Christmas Eve comes first, not Christmas Day
Just stay in bed, please! many parents say
To picture Santa's reindeer
And his sleigh full of toys
For a whole, wide world
Of good girls and boys
It's hard to sleep a wink
Every clock seems to stall
Yeah
Christmas Eve's the longest night
Of all
Christmas is filled with lots of fun
With snowball fights and sledding in the sun
And after going home, the fun's not done
There's sweet hot chocolate for everyone
When night falls, it will be Christmas Eve
Can Santa fit down chimneys? How naive
But little children need only believe
That Santa Claus has some tricks up his sleeve
To picture Santa's reindeer
And his sleigh full of toys
For a whole, wide world
Of good girls and boys
It's hard to sleep a wink
Every clock seems to stall
Yeah
Christmas Eve's the longest night
Of all
Christmas is filled with lots of joy
And presents waiting for each girl and boy
Who long for a new doll or a shiny toy
For Santa's Naughty List is not a ploy
To get bad children to behave themselves
If they want presents made by Santa's elves
Come Christmas Eve, no child awake can wait
For the calendar to show a different date
To picture Santa's reindeer
And his sleigh full of toys
For a whole, wide world
Of good girls and boys
It's hard to sleep a wink
Every clock seems to stall
Yeah
Christmas Eve's the longest night
Of all
It's true
Yeah
Christmas Eve's the longest night
Of all
The snow is fresh and the air is clear
And every street is filled with Christmas cheer
