The Small and Mighty

I fall between the cracks
Like the sand swept through
No one sees me
I'm like the midnight dew
So fine, so strong, so small
But perception fails
The coarse and the gruff
Overshadow with their wails
Just pass me by
As if I'm not even there
Running blind
Not a look, not a stare
Riding on the wind in motion
Then in stillness I remain
Parallel and interwoven like
Forest and rain
Without the small and mighty
You could not even eat
But if the balance were upset
I would be your defeat
Giving life
And taking it away
The job I do, just the
Work of a day
So fine, so strong, so small
But perception fails
My tiny invisible world
As if behind the veil
I fall between the cracks
Like the sand swept through
No one sees me
No one sees me
No one sees me
But I see you
