My Self-Driving Pickup Truck Left Me

Well, the year is 2039
I got an ugly house and a homely wife
And a two-ton trash heap parked in my garage
Well, I've been making some bread and I've been stealing some more
From the sweet old ladies at the general store
And now I've got the right amount for a new ride

So I went on Google and I searched around
For a backseat where I can sit my hiney down
And I found the perfect steed made just for me
Well it handles the steering and it pushes the brakes
So I can drink myself silly till I'm red in the face
But I never knew that it could run away

My self-driving pickup truck left me
Ditched me down that old lonesome road
My self-driving pickup truck left me
And now I don't know how I'm getting home

First I went for a spin with my feet on the wheel
Stuck my head out the window just to see how it feels
Then I laid the seat back, got myself some rest
Took a ten-hour nap and woke up out of state
I could tell by the colors of the license plates
And then I started to panic, took hold of the wheel

And as I reached for the brakes it started flashing red
Saying "Mister, I'd be better off if you were dead"
Then it sent me out the window into the street
And as I sat in the dirt, I wondered where I went wrong
I wish I kept that trash heap all along
Because my self-driving truck just littered me

My self-driving pickup truck left me
Ditched me down that old lonesome road
My self-driving pickup truck left me
And now I don't know how I'm getting home

My self-driving pickup truck left me
Ditched me down that old lonesome road
My self-driving pickup truck left me
And now I don't know how I'm getting home
And now I don't know how I'm getting home

And now I don't know how I'm getting home
