The Sock and the Sandal (Reprise)

The sock and the sandal walked out together
So in love they forgot about the weather
As blissfully they strolled through the town
Everybody put them down

The sock and the sandal wondered why
They were sneered and laughed at as they passed by
They did not know their love was forbidden
And it was best to keep it well hidden

The sock and the sandal didn't know they were odd
And that no one before had dared step where they trod
Made well aware of the fact they were feared
By people scared of the different and weird.

With all of the courage they could find
They left most of those doubters behind

The sock and the sandal found they had grown
Discovering they were no longer alone
And soon they were thought of as sublime
And no longer as a fashion crime
