Perspective

Perspective
Life is how you look at it, from serene to sporadic, comic or tragic, suicidal or simply
Stuck in traffic
Outlook intercepts reality, and paradigms shift in tacit compliance to perceived reality

Understand, perception does not always equal reality
You see, it's almost like a science, depending on what lens you use or results you choose
To analyze life
Our views find their genesis jumping off the preconceived petri dish of prior prejudice

It's just the way I see it, said the blind man, who was unable to listen, unqualified
To make an intelligent decision, absent of the ability to be informed and avoid collision
My mama said, you ain't got all the sense, baby
Not even maybe

See, we look straight out of our own two eyes into someone else's, but fail to realize that
Something's missing
And that's understanding
They looking out of theirs, and we're looking out of ours

They have their own, but we think they should have ours
Understanding is ever expanding as well as commanding of our attention
However, truth does not solely reside in yours, your understanding
Therefore, insight should have revolving doors, like a returning tide gently crashing upon Sandy shores
It's show and tell, not argue and compel, debate and dwell, share, not sell
Well, life is how you look at it
There are positive and negative elements around at all times, like convenience stores

And what you focus on will inevitably influence yours
Focal points help frame minds, aka frame of mind
So pleasant things don't seem like chores or crimes
Perception is the process of how you perceive and retrieve information, believe, then conceive revelation
If one does not see the bigger picture, then one's perspective is limited
We grasp merely a piece of the puzzle and confuse our perspective as limitless
Our potential is, but unfortunately, our attempts at observing it would be quite frivolous if

We don't let ourselves look at life positively to steer clear of stress and through several
Different vantage points
But alas, I digress
Proverbs 21 in two states, every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord

Ponder at the heart
Personal inventory is what I'd advise, but me is where I start
The skies within my art, we see, but only in part
We see, but only in part

My perspective is like the black ink that drips down the inside of my black and white
Round bic pen pointed at the page this poem was originally contained in
Mine, my perspective is mine
And now I'm sharing it with you
Remember, if you listen, it makes it easier for others to listen to you
