I was getting tired of a hurting heart
Crying to sleep wasn't getting far
So I decided to write some songs

I don't know why I thought life would be easy
Not sure why she tries so hard to please me
When we both know that I belong in hell

I've never been one to admit when I'm wrong
I never thought I'd be writing sad songs
And here I am, doing it all at once

My friends told me I couldn't sing
Well, look at them and then listen to me

I guess they were kind of right

I don't wanna feel this way
Alone, afraid, not wanting to be alive
And if I had it my way, I'd see
Just a really big change in my life

Tried so hard to get what I needed
Still ended up crying on my knees
And if God is here, why can't I see Him
