Switch Up

I'm coughing up my thoughts into an icicle
I look inside and see that I'm just cold
I could ride all day on my bicycle
Pretending I was in control

So many different parts to play
Changes over time
Not really sure which one I prefer
I don't wanna know
Just switch it up

Went from sucking my thumb to a popsicle
Looking out the window from the back of the car
These days I'm just so cynical
What else is there to do but lay down a guitar?

Found another part to play
Not sure if it's mine
But every now and then, here and now
I don't care how just switch it up

I'm spitting out my mind into a stick of butter
Take a knife and spread it around, my brain's a fluffernutter
And different songs each used to be different colors
But now this fog in my brain makes it so dead

Don't really care which part you play
As long as it's not mine
Help me out somehow, old or new
I don't care how just switch me up
