Chariot Allegory

The cowboy switching on controls, launched his mental appetites
Deep into the void where fallen angels sleep for countless ages
Undisturbed

The patient mind of a vagabond whose limits now were none
Resolved to punch a throttle through the dark side of the sun
Spinning like the chambers of a pistol in a fight
Estimating barrels that he emptied in the night

His steel-blue '86 Pontiac Grand Prix
With double dragons, painted, and equipped with destiny
Shot through the highways of the minds of traitor enemies
Intercepting messages that he spread among the free

Never stopping to relax or take a break for lunch
He followed signs and signals that he furthered with a hunch
That evil snakes its way inside the hearts of lesser men
Who give into temptation, putting down their guard again
And with this one phenomenon he had a great idea
To use the tactic mindfully and implant purity
In systems that depend on consciousness to thrive
He would betray the makers with a virus from all sides

Silos whisper on the breeze, a dream to end restless beliefs
Of something hidden in trees, and noticed in the fallen leaves
A sickness infecting the land, it's one that we can understand
To drive along the booming shore, to see the sea foam come alive
To dive into a hurricane, like a dolphin between the stars
Or a colony on Mars, or a note between the bars
Of a prison cell that I can tell captures everything
Alive with ancient symmetry, rebounding across the years
Recognizing subtle fears, that echo in surveilled phone
In cosmic bliss I'd make my home, but the trouble is... I'm not alone

I'm counted here among the poor, riding retro-waves of yore

The cowboy switching on controls, launched his mental appetites
Deep into the void where fallen angels sleep for countless ages
Undisturbed
