Banker Bill

Banker Bill drinks his coffee
And he won't spill a drop
Another day another scheme to be made
And Billy always comes out on top

Billy heard there's a gold mine
In a land where they still see the stars and
Luckily the people there can't see
And it helps their skin is different from ours

Banker Bill put the word out
There's a faraway place
And they need our light and if we teach 'em right
Someday they might not be such a waste

And the soldiers go running
Lot of flame lot of pain to act out
Say they've every right in their God given fight
And Billy's paid off their doubts

And he's walking down the street now
And the people passin' him by
Don't ever look twice

Banker Bill built an office
And he brings all the poor people in
He's a stand up guy giving workers new lives
Though the money's going right back to him

And it's an unpleasant business
But it's how this world works
He says if not me you know it'd just be
Somebody else maybe they'd be worse

And he's walking down the street now
And the people passin' him by
Don't ever look twice

Banker Bill owns the restaurants
And the stores and the hospitals too
Can't get away
Billy's here to stay
And soon he'll be coming for you
