Too Much to Dream

Well I had a bit too much to dream and I woke up all alight
In a fire that just needed spreadin but i had to do it right
Ain't no sense in putting out the anger
No good to cage the flames
But you gotta be wise with how you burn
So they don't build back the same

So I watched the people movin
Just running to and fro
And I ran some calculations through my head and
Looked on past the show

Fat cat
No more scraps
We're sick and tired of gettin higher just to stay intact
It's so hard to trust
So many dyin while the market's up

Now the man with money just don't know it
He's far too far to see
So I figured that I might as well go show him
How they all showed me
I snuck back into the kingdom
I stole the golden crown
Then I lit a raging fire in the palace
Watched it crumble down

The smoke kept climbing in the sky and
The bells were sounding crazed
Gotta wonder at the bony king's old face
Right before the ceiling caved

Fat cat
Slink on back
There's more of us and that's enough to take our own lives back
And we didn't start the war
We're just reacting to this blackened world

Well I hear the guards are out for blood now
Better get out of this place
So I'm back to always hoofin down the road
Hopin no one saw my face
And you know I'm sticking to the shadows
And I only move at night
And my thoughts are always draggin me down so
That I can't move past the fight
And I can't help wonderin if there's more here
And I even thought to pray
Then I found that with a bottle and some smoke
I can make the nightmares fade
