Abaddon's Cave: Transcendence

What great words could I have
To describe the boundless edge of the infinite
When every word's incomplete
Only an utterance as the sounds disappear
Moses couldn't bear the burning bush
And I, a look into the stars
"This isn't it. This isn't real", I said to the indifferent silence
Love's not a spark but a fire raging this side of life and the other

Someday when the stars are still again
Will you breathe life back into a world not worth loving?
Or are we to be forgotten?
Reconstituted without our knowing?
Were we already here for millennia before?

After the silence we'll wake up to a new life
A promise of an empty grave
And a new world at our feet
