Mama had it good how she got paid
Used to live lavish, the old ways
Used to have caddies and young maids

I remember when I lived like I was royalty
Back when I had no problems or no issues with my needs
I used to live inside the Korean community
Back in Saigon, we were free
Of villainy
I had friends living close
Some were even neighbors
Making posts to play soccer and asking favors
To the guards who ain't like us play in the streets
We divided the teams
Based on our feet
Let me tell you, it was paradise how we ate
Cheap roast beef and the lobsters on special days
My tutor used to ride me to school in motorcycles
Upon arrival, I greet my friends and older rivals

What a time in my life
Many thunderstorms in the night
A privilege alright
What a moment in time
A gathering of life
A blessing in disguise

Using rage as a game
My arrogance to work is coming from a place of ego
A six-year-old inside is telling me that we ain't equal
Oh now I get it cause he tasted luxury
Thinks it's easy to receive
The fruits of labor with no seeds
I see behind his eyes
He tries to victimize
The fear and pain inside
But he ain't gotta hide
No longer is he royalty
But is ordinary
The work he always try to cheat
