Very Scary Merry Christmas

I don't know
But I've been told
This man is not to fear
He creeps inside
And tries to hide
To bring you christmas cheer
Creatures who build his gadgets
Are unnatural volunteers
The beasts who pull his sleigh at night
Are something more than deer

We'll have a very scary merry Christmas
We'll have a very scary merry Christmas
We'll have a very scary merry Christmas
But this I know
When I hear the footsteps on my roof
I want this all to go and disappear

Hooves are cracking
Lips a smacking
Offerings we bear
To this man with red hot cheeks
Who comes for reasons we don't dare
To guess because we know
His belly has got some room to spare
Why do we invite this old man to break into our house
It's not something we should revere

We'll have a very scary merry Christmas
We'll have a very scary merry Christmas
We'll have a very scary merry Christmas
But when I hear
His shrieks of Ho Ho Ho I do despair

Why does he work in isolation?
How do his minions toil and fro?
How can sort and choose his victims?
Because my dear
He looks deep down in to the depths of all our souls

Snow is falling
Pressures rising
It's that time of year
Carol singing
Business ringing
Parents grunt and swear
Kids are beaming
Markets screaming
For those shelves to clear
All of this distraction hiding
That we've let this mad man turn our judgment to impaired

We'll have a very scary merry Christmas
We'll have a very scary merry Christmas
We'll have a very scary merry Christmas
And this I pray
That I see the light of day

We'll have a very scary merry Christmas
We'll have a very scary merry Christmas
We'll have a very scary merry Christmas
And this I swear
I'll be here with this milk and cookies
Ready to deposit in his rear
