Wet Feet

I've got holes in my socks and holes in my shoes
And every time it rains, my feet turn blue
When I scrape off my socks, my feet are covered in dirt
And the nail in my sole is beginnin' to hurt
Oh, no, another rainy day
And my baby lives six miles away
Looks like I'm gonna get wet feet again

I went up town to get me some footwear
Must've spent three hours trying to find a pair
Found a set of cheap trainers ugly as sin
Told the shop assistant, "Throw my old ones in the bin"
Put 'em on and on my way
But they still couldn't keep out the rain
It looks like I'm gonna get wet feet again

Got some beautiful wellies as a present from my sister
They kept my feet dry but made one hell of a blister
I was diggin' my veg thinkin' what a good fit
When the spade went through the rubber and made a slit
At the festival that summer in the mud I caused a scandal
Walkin' 'round in nothin' but Jesus sandals

It looks like I'm gonna get wet feet
It looks like I'm gonna get wet feet
It looks like I'm gonna get wet feet again
