I Could Use a Little Help Around Here

A seed needs care to make its home
To grow and become what it needs to be
A seed cannot do this all alone
A seed needs little old me

I till the earth to make a place
Where the seed can lie its head
Ground becomes soft, the seed in it tossed
So here it can have a good bed

I could use a little help around here
I could use someone to lift my plow
My body grows old and my bones grow weak
And time's flying by, so to speak
I could use a little help around here

A seed so small needs care to grow
I could use a little help to grow it
A seed so delicate needs some guidance
I could use a little help with this bit

Plant in this fertile foundation
But not too deep, or it can't break free
The sun provides illumination
And a bright new future I can see

To provide some support and some love and care
Someone with you I can share

Now that it has a place underneath
The seed becomes thirsty for water
My son is finding his way in this world
But no sound guidance from another

With a son, and a farm, and barn so infirm
I need any help anyone could provide
