Every little step that I take affects my timeline
Every single step that I take, I think "I'll be just fine then"
Every rotting tree I used to see, it looked like me back then
But now I've been thinking of the best next step
To grow my leaves back

When you've been hurt, the leaves will fall
When you've been stressed, it's hard to grow back tall

So I'm taking the best next step

The village gets younger

And my bones they've grown, they've grown stronger
And my retention, it got a little longer
