Call for the Creatures

There's a cat on the couch
And a dog on the porch
A mouse in the house
And a man at the door
He wants to come in
But please keep him out
Love me or hate me
I'm so full of doubt

There's a frog in the pond
And some birds in the trees
Wolves in the woods
And bugs on the leaves
They want to be free
Cause that's what they need
Cursed by these humans
They're so full greed

There're snakes in the grass
And a bat in a cave
Sad little creatures
I wish we could save
But where's all the love
For the crows and the doves
Do you even notice them flying above

Do you hear my shrill cry
My call for wild
I hear it in the laugh of my inner child
Maybe sit with me and dream for awhile
Or at least until you find your beloved bright smile

Despite all the pain that lives in your brain
Ignore all the people with looks of disdain
They're blind to the magic of who you are
A beauty on par with the moon and stars

There are cows in the fields
And some fish in the lake
A whole ecosystem
That gives as we take
The deers and the does
That are crossing the roads
Burning their forests
So where will they go
