Bittersweet Memories

Photobook
Filled with photos of you that I never seen
Bittersweet
I hope we meet again
It's really just the little things

I never got the chance
To introduce you to all of my friends
I wish I had more time to learn from your wisdom
I wish I called more than when I needed to hold some

Cuz now I'm trying to phone home
And the home phone disconnected
But it's still the only number that I know by heart
I changed zip codes just to get a fresh start
I know you watching over me
And keeping me from falling apart

Remember shopping for the back to school deals
At Abercrombie and Pink
And I never was that girly
But I loved to be your mini me
I know it made you happy
I wonder if you saw me now
If you would be happy to see me happy

Cuz I'm not what you pictured
But I hope you would adapt to me
I wish you could come back to me

Photobook
Filled with photos of you that I never seen
Bittersweet
I hope we meet again
It's really just the little things

I took time for granted
Never thought the good times would come come to and end
Went through thick and thin
Bloody water
Family blended in

And after Sunday service
It was brunch at Grace's
Crooked smile
But you told that I didn't need the braces
Used to call you for everything
It's crazy how fast life changes

It took a long time to let you go and find my flow
But lately I been happy
My stomach ain't as flat as it used to be
I know you be talking about me with my chubby cheeks
I still got out out photo booth pictures from Chuck E. Cheese

I wish you knew how much you meant to me
It's really just the little things
That make these memories so bittersweet
