Morning Fever

Morning fever
Sitting on the pavement
Of a great big city
I don't know the name of
Burning feeble
Listening to poems
Of men of thoughts
And women of heart

Say it'll be easier
To keep on keeping on
It'll last for a year
But it's tough
Mild and fuzzy
And everything nice
I long for a time
When winter fell twice

The railway seems quiet
I'd like to sleep there
I'd like to feel iron and wood 'neath my head
Feel the energy
The damned electricity
Flowing freely into MY VEINS

Evening fever
Sitting on a porch
Cloud nine is so far
I've lost all that I ought
To keep from your dirty hands
To keep from your greed
The lights turning red
It's wetting the windshield
