Who am I
Who Am I?
I'm a name that's hard to pronounce
An echo with nowhere to bounce
A lion that's waiting to pounce
A lonely dispenser of one fluid ounce
I'm attracted to the way she moved through my defenses
Overwhelms my senses
Disregards the consequences
I got pulled in like a magnet, held in place
But I still can't touch her face
Locked into this tailspin
Feeling just like a stand-in
Waiting to be cut off like a foreskin
Who am I?
I'm cheesy, sleazy and uneasy
But it's no game, this ain't parcheesy
No one said it would be easy
I'm like a needy genie acting speedy
Seedy, greasy and completely freaky
Deeply creepy, always looking sleepy
Like someone you'd see on CCTV
Crazy, lazy and always hazy
But it never seemed to phase me
All Mario, no Luigi
Princess is in another castle, is she?
Just keep 'em coming, I'll bring the squeegee
Who am I to cry when she's finding that twinkle in her eye?
Who am I to sigh while she's just trying to get by
Taking shots up to the thigh?
Who am I to get so shy when it's back to me she comes to drip dry?
Who am I?
I have a mind that's always running why won't it cease?
Hiding in myself every time she needs a release
Turning back to people playing they just want a piece
Disappearing ink splattered across a masterpiece
Who is she?
She's a phoenix ready to burst into flame
She's a wild mare too lively to tame
But it really depends on just who you name
Maybe she's a notch carved on your bed frame
Or when things don't go right she's someone to blame
Angry attention, you don't see me playing a game?
Who would just take leaving her heart as fair game?
Who would leave her in bruises without any shame?
Who wouldn't give everything to the girl with two names?
While we all figure it out, I'll play the waiting game
Who is she?
She's a beacon of light Lost on a Black Sea
A name that belongs up high on a marquee
She's a trapped Spirit begging to be set free
A soul I'm happy to say that's connected to me
Who am I to cry when she's finding that twinkle in her eye?
Who am I to sigh while she's just trying to get by
Taking shots up to the thigh?
Who am I to get so shy when it's back to me she comes to drip dry?
