Reach

Sometimes I reach and swim in daydreams
It's not what it seems it's all just flawed
But still I reach, and it slips through the cracks
How could I say if anything would change if I could go back

Under the spotlight in the middle of the stage
I'm highly inspired by the look on your face
And the words I put in feeling more like a cage
And I reach

Sometimes I feel it's a grasp at control
I'm comfortable here, why risk it all
It doesn't seem real, I thought when I was young
I'd take every chance, but I never advanced, now I'm feeling so old

Under the spotlight in the middle of the stage
I'm highly inspired by the look on your face
And the words I put in feeling more like a cage
And I reach

So if I pass by I'm just saving face
If you know what I mean then I don't have to say
And the heart that I wear on my sleeve has been stained
And I reach
