Lotus

We planted a seed
Our roots buried deep
Following visions of grandeur
It bore us some fruit
Of which we'd consume
The lotus would feed our delusion

Through the garden of Eden
Our self-proclaimed haven
That's safe from the lies
The ecstasy softens the thorns in our eyes
This soil is quenched with our blood sacrifice

We'll dance in our garden like it's a fantasy
We'll prance through the flowers and mystical scenes
'Cause it's not an illusion in that moment of peace
It's just enough to ignore the twisting bend in the trees
