God is so humble, He turned to a man

In the hospital fighting, needle in my arm

Woke up in the morning was still in that bed
It was just a lil' dream, now I'm all on my own

It was many nights He got pushed to the side

It's a couple of times that I real could've died
Could've told them the truth, it was times that I lied
Gotta push through the pain, it get better with time

In military school was knocking out sit-ups
I was down bad on my last, He said, "Get up"
It's hard when you're making that change, I can't let up
He gave me His love wasn't something I earned
Had to cut off some people I had to discern
And I stayed down so long had to wait on my turn
I was going through pain all the time but I just had to learn
