The Pool

From baseball fields, to broken homes
The things abandoned years ago
When time ran out

The days they blend together
Well, at least I don't need to worry about a change

I know you're gone, you're lost to time
But if I could pretend for just a moment's notice
When it was alright, when we'd go swimming at the pool
They're closing end of summer come, but it wont matter to me

You fall apart, you fade away
And more so every single day
Did I push you away?

And though it always seemed just fine
There was no telling if we were both really okay

And I know you're gone, lost to time
But if I could pretend for just a moment's notice
When it was alright, like when we'd go swimming at the pool
They're closing end of summer come, but it wont matter to me
