The Pirates And The Kraken

In a tavern where the rum flows free
The tales grow wilder across the sea
Spoke a captain with an eye so keen
"Met a beast the darkest I've seen"

Oh sing ho for the wind blows cold
And the stories of old unfold
Where the waves clash and the tales are spoke
Of the pirates' dance with the kraken woke

With a ship as old as time itself
They sailed to where the ocean delves
"Chart a course!" the old captain cried
"To the depths where the dark tides hide"

Under moonlight their fate was spun
The kraken stirred from depths undone
Eight arms twirling a whirlpool's might
In the inky sea a fearsome sight

Oh sing ho for the wind blows cold
And the stories of old unfold
Where the waves clash and the tales are spoke
Of the pirates' dance with the kraken woke

But our pirates they're a clever crew
With a fiddle and a lute knew what to do
Played a tune as sweet as a siren's call
Charmed the beast tentacles and all

So they danced a sight to behold
'Round the mast with courage untold
Till the kraken bowed and its eyes did glisten
'Twas a night when even the stars would listen

Oh sing ho for the wind blows cold
And the stories of old unfold
Where the waves clash and the tales are spoke
Of the pirates' dance with the kraken woke

As dawn breaks the sea's calm anew
The kraken vanished in the deep blue
But legends like these they never fade
Passed through generations forever replayed

Oh sing ho for the wind now still
The sun rises over the distant hill
For in tales told by old and young
The pirates' dance with the kraken is sung
