When I wake up
I see the sun streaming through the leaves
Where'd I leave the keys?

Had to flee the beast
Save my face, hid between the trees

Back to base
Reeling from my dreams
It's not what it seems
Hear the roar
Soon I'll hear the pleas
Hear the screams
As the beast reaps, eating as it feeds
Now I'm bleeding from my knees
Take a seat so I can breathe
'Til I see hazel eyes staring back around me

I see the stripes, see the signs
Soon I'll leave my life behind
It's a vice, it's a crime
See it creeping through the vines
In the nights, in my mind
It's the beast seeking to find
Uninvited but defiant
There's no reason in its eyes
So I speak into the sky
Breathe a plea for the divine
I don't wanna die

Hear it as it sighs
I supply supplication
It defies my placation
With a lions indication
