Writing on the Wall

I've spent my days looking around trying to find a way out
But every night's an obstacle I can't seem to break down
All their optical illusions capitalize my confusion
And there's no conclusion I could sketch from the movement
Like a running man, running for his life from his wife
So far away, he'll never breathe the same air that she does
But that's okay he tells himself night after night and again

I left some writing on the wall
You can read it when I fall
'Cause I don't know what'll happen
And if you ever feel alone
Just know that it's not your fault
You didn't know what would happen

If I took a knife and stabbed my mind, the consequences I'd be facing
This is what I get for never timing things right
I need to forget, let my body reset
Only then will the rest confess and be cleared from this mess
The enumeration of complications
Is expounded by the expiration of my mind's Imagination
As I infect the story of the writer's glory
Making him lose all his friends night after night and again

I left some writing on the wall
You can read it when I fall
'Cause I don't know what'll happen
And if you ever feel alone
Just know that it's not your fault
You didn't know what would happen
We didn't know what would happen
They always say it'll happen
I didn't think it would happen
Night after night and again

Oh oh, oh oh
Oh oh, oh
Oh oh, oh oh
Oh oh, oh
Oh oh, oh oh
Oh oh, oh

I left some writing on the wall
Oh, you can read it when I fall
'Cause I don't know what'll happen
And if you ever feel alone
Just know that it's not your fault
You didn't know what would happen
We didn't know what would happen
They always say it'll happen
I didn't think it would happen
Night after night and-
