The Bard's Epilogue

Carried away by furious waves
Adrift in the cold open sea
Stranded on barren unknown shores...
My torment now seems over

No more curse to carry
Doom on the land no more shall be
On the sea bed lays the flute
Souls of the dead, voices of madness forever mute

On this lonely island I am lost
Any food or drink is barely to be found
But here I won't die
My fate is not over

Days of storm blurred the sky
But now stars are bright again
Mountains lie on the horizon
And hope shines on the break of dawn

Gather good pieces of wood
From plant fiber braid strong rope
Shape and craft a sturdy oar
Now that the sea is calm
With this raft I'll make it to that distant shore

On a sandy strand I have arrived
Near a wooden house with a tower of stone
Caressed by the wind
Oh! And mutilated corpses laying by the door

Doom has come to the realm

In the wind the dead howl evermore
To that shore carried by the waves
The cursed woodwind must have come

In the air floats a tenuous veil
Of sand slowly gliding from the south
And evil silhouettes dance around me
The dead laugh in the breeze
