I know you must have noticed
that things never last
Like the pleasure in your life,
in the present or the past
your perception of time and space
leaves you craving
for things out of place in your life
your prioritized occurrences
become your nuisances
because you think life should be
doesn't mean that "should be"
must be reality

you are taught that you are you
that you alone are you and you and
you are taught that you are you
that you alone are you and you are

this body, this you, a flash of lightning
this mind, this you, the water of a mirage
this life, this you, the sound of an echo
this you, this you, a ball of foam

but it's all in my brain, this talk of decay
my mind is defined by decay, and anyway
of all the people on the face of the earth
in a few more years well, they'll be ready for rebirth
that is, they'll be dead, yes that's what I said
in 100 years well they'll all be dead
so you gotta be aware of the cycles everywhere
since life is so rare, you gotta stop and be aware

in and out of existence, bacteria under a microscope
