Falling Down

There's a river running through her, the water is her soul
Tearing away at sandy banks that are her self control
Her pools are concentration, the rapids are her art
I'm swimming upstream against the current keeping us apart
And I'm falling down

A mountain reaching higher than the sky is her defense
Her wind is blowing down and telling me to have some sense
Can anybody blame her keeping me from coming near?
Ropes are fraying, her handholds begin to disappear
And I'm falling down

She takes me every higher while she's hiding underground
It's foolish to have faith, there are no answers for me now
There's no music in the silence, but I'm hearing every sound

She's an ocean, she's a rainbow, she's a canyon, she's a fire
She'll strip you of everything, but you'll get what you desire
She'll make you feel like you're the one when there's no one else around
Then leave you falling down
