Source of Light

Second thoughts calling out to me make it clear that I am blind
To the advances, to the chances, my stomach turns, my heart freely dances
The fine line between love and reason. Is this real, or once again am I teasing
Myself into more rejection? It's the exception to the rules I already break

So tell me, why am I treating this as though it's black or white
Don't you know it's the sun that makes the moon so radiant at night?
If you stood right by my side, maybe then you'd see
That you're the source of all the light reflecting off of me

Errors in my thought process have led my mind to digress from
The issue tabled. I'm unstable. I'll remove myself, cause I'm unable
To to decide all this objectively, I'll try to figure this out separately
I just don't want to hear your answer

So tell me, why am I treating this as though it's black or white
Don't you know it's the sun that makes the moon so radiant at night?
If you stood right by my side, maybe then you'd see
That you're the source of all the light reflecting off of me

I just want to see results, I'm willing to take the risk
I need to make up for opportunities that I missed
Second thoughts just disappear, you take away my fears with your kiss

So tell me, why am I treating this as though it's black or white
Don't you know it's the sun that makes the moon so radiant at night?
If you stood right by my side, maybe then you'd see
That you're the source of all the light reflecting off of me
