Coming Home

He never thought he'd walk this road again,
this road which seemed so foreign and scary.
The light of joy dazzled on his soul,
The sound of birds was like heaven.

His family often crossed his mind.
"Mother saw no reason to fight.
Your sudden disappearance left a hole in her heart.

I never thought you'd leave us on our own.
I never thought you would come back home.

Where were you when we went through the tough times
and father in despair
committed numerous crimes
to save mother from this nightmare?

Everything he ever stood for
shattered into pieces when you went away.
Now you're back here
and he didn't even live up to this day.

I never thought you'd leave us on our own.
I never thought you would come back home.
I never thought you'd leave us on our own.
I never thought you would come back home."

"I understand your sadness.
Mom and Dad are gone, you have to lay the blame on someone to get it off your chest."

With these words, he hugged her to erase her anger and to ease her mind.
