At My Age

At my age, I should expect more out of my life
then one day a week at a motel with another guys wife
A cubicle job that's just over the minimum wage
I should have more to show for my life at my age

I shall freely admit I alone am the genius to thank
For the kids I don't have and the money that ain't in the bank
For the shitbox apartment that I stop around like a cage
It ain't much of a home to come to no, not at my age

'cause at the rate I'm going, I'm gonna be a broke and lonely old man
Whatever happens happens, I'll worry about it then

Because at my age I ought to own me a piece of the rock
I need a slice of the pie or at least I should be out of hock
As the minutes return with the passing of every phase
I should have more to show for my life at my age

'cause at the rate I'm going I'm going to be a broke and lonely old man, hey hey
Whatever happens happens I'll worry about it then

Because at my age I ought to own me a piece of the rock
I need a slice of the pie or at least I should be out of hock
But As the minutes return with the passing of every phase, yet it do
I should have more to show for my life at my age
I should have more to show for my life at my age
I should have more to show for my life at my age
